How to Get an NBI Clearance

An NBI clearance is a very important document for people who intend to get a job and for those who plan to go abroad. An NBI clearance certifies that an individual is not involved in any illegal activity in thePhilippines. From this we can say that an NBI clearance certifies that a person is a law-abiding citizen of a country.

There are a lot of NBI offices where you can apply for a new NBI clearance or renewal if you already have an existing one. Here's a flowchart from the NBI website which describes how to get a clearance.

Here are the fees charged by NBI depending on the purpose of the clearance

When applying for a new NBI clearance, the documentary requirements are two (2) valid IDs. IDs accepted by NBI includes the following

                1)     Voter’s I.D.                7)     Postal I.D.

                2)     SSS I.D.                    8)     GSIS I.D.

                3)     PRC License               9)     Driver’s License

                4)     Company I.D.            10)    School I.D.

                5)     Valid Passport            11)    ACR (for aliens)

                6)     Senior Citizen I.D.       12)    Philhealth I.D.
