Anchor texts are words, numbers or symbols that links to a webpage. The use of anchor texts are important in increasing the page ranking of a website. Anchor texts can be found on blogs, comments and forums. So how do we make anchor text? Here is a simple tutorial.

This is the basic format of an anchor text

<a href="url">Link text</a>

So if you want your blog readers to go to facebook by clicking the word FB, type the following:

<a href="http://www.facebook.com/">FB</a>

It's that simple!
